As a kid, camping in the backyard was a fun time with my brother, and of course my faithful companion – Shultz Wowzer – the wonder dog.
Backyard camping came with a lot of perks. Setting up and taking down the tent was easy-peasy! Of course, snacks and clean bathrooms were just steps away from our “campsite”. No loud campers from nearby campsites to deal with. No long car ride. Oh, and no worries if it rained because a dry place to sleep was just steps away.
Flashlights and storytelling, chasing lightning bugs and capturing them in a mason jar, and roasting marshmallows to make s’mores, good fun, good times!
