read to me

While sorting thru some storage containers of clothing – baby clothes to pre-teen, I discovered this gem. I felt compelled to create this t-shirt when our youngest was toddling around. Not that she needed a shirt to remind anyone to read to her because she was a sponge for books. All kinds of books from the alphabet to the zoo.

This shirt was passed on to our son. He would sit for literally as long as you would read to him about planes, trains, an all types of construction equipment.

By kid three you can see from the photo it’s a little worse for wear but the sentiment remains. Our youngest, she loved books about pigs, and ballerinas, and books with a good rhyme.

Each child learned very quickly, whatever we were doing if they brought us a book, we would stop what we were doing and sit and read the book.

During this time of being immersed in books with my children, I became passionate about writing some stories kids might like to have read to them or read on their own.
